Why Donate Directly?
Every year we start off the new school year with a projected PTA budget. This year we continue to support the same great programs (art, music, library, technology, eld trips, assemblies, etc.) as well as a few new and exciting initiatives (more S.T.E.M. based assemblies and parent education workshops.)
We begin our fundraising efforts this year by asking each family for a direct donation. We are asking for $500 per student. We know that this isn’t a small amount of money but we want you to know that it’s money well spent.
Giving through our direct donation campaign is the most efficient way to give because the PTA isn’t spending its resources (both time and money) to raise money. Every dollar you give goes directly into supporting the programs and initiatives for the children.
For every dollar above our direct donation goal of $40,000 we can reduce our other fundraising efforts. This means less stress for all of us in reaching our budget and ensuring great programs for our children.
What also makes direct giving great is that many employers will match their employee’s donations. So your $500 donation can turn into $1000 if you ask your company to match your donation! View a list of companies that we know match contributions.
Finally, your donation is fully tax deductible.
Although our suggested donation is $500 per student, donations of any amount are welcome. Please consider giving as much as you’re comfortable giving, whether it’s significantly more or significantly less as we know that Meadow Heights serves families from a wide range of socio-economic levels.
