Meadow Heights Elementary is a fantastic public school with a great community of teachers, staff, and, families. Funding from the state, local sources, and the federal government pays for basic resources for our school, but additional PTA fundraising allows our students to experience improved art classes, technology, and music education, more library time, emotional intelligence programs, as well as field trips, assemblies, and school wide events! Without raising funds, we cannot run these programs.
April 2021 update: Thanks to the generosity of parents and community members, we have successfully raised enough money to fund our programs through the current school year. Thank you for participating in our direct donation drive and auction.
2021-22 School Year
We are already planning the events, programs, and fundraising drives for next school year. With students expected to be on campus full-time, this means that the PTA can help provide a more robust educational experience than the previous year.
Due to the pandemic, a number of our more generous families have moved away or transferred to private schools. This has led to our PTA having much less carryover into next school year. We must find a new balance between programs we support at the school, and the amount of fundraising we can do.
In order to confidently sign contracts for next school year's programs and positions (music, art, technology, library), we have a goal to raise 1/3 of the 2021-22 annual budget (roughly $50K) before the 2020-21 school year ends.We're not that far from our goal! As of Sunday, April 25, we estimate that we will have a carryover of $40K for next fall. Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated and will make a difference at Meadow Heights.
2020-21 PTA Program Budget: $155,000
Our fundraisers will be a little different this year due to Coronavirus/COVID-19 requirements. We will not be able to have any live event fundraisers so our focus will be on direct donations and virtual events. Our program budget this year is greater by far than our expected fundraising. This is possible because we have carryover funds from last year and a hope that we will be able to resume regular fundraising in 2021-22.
Fundraising Goal: $85,000
Our goal is to raise at least $85,000 this school year. These are challenging times. We understand that some families will be able to raise $20 and some will be able to donate $500, $1000, or more. Our community values both monetary and non-monetary contributions, so if you cannot donate money this year there are still many ways you can help. Any type of family involvement strengthens our community.
Direct Donation Campaign - Kickoff Fall 2020
Direct donations will be our biggest fundraiser this year with a goal of raising more than $40,000. This is where you donate money to the school to fund our great PTA programs and get nothing in return (no event, no prizes). This is honestly the BEST way to give to Meadow Heights. This fundraiser doesn’t cost the PTA a penny, so every dollar you give goes straight towards the programs we support. For this fundraiser we will provide email and Social Media messages you can share with your wider community of relatives, friends, and neighbors to ask for direct donations. Many employers will match your non-profit donations, potentially DOUBLING your impact. You’ll receive a receipt for any donations you make to Meadow Heights so you can submit it for company matching!

Online Auction - March 1-7, 2021
The auction is a fun event that requires a lot of work but has a huge payoff. This year, for the first time, our Auction will be a virtual event. Our goal is to raise $45,000 to support the school. While this is a change from the event we know and love, it just may allow more families to participate. Donations for the auction come in a few forms:
Your time and energy pulling together the event (soliciting donations from businesses, event planning, back office, etc.)
Donations of goods and services to be auctioned (wine, tech devices, gift cards, vacation rentals, etc.)
And of course, money in exchange for items during the auction event (live and silent auction, count-me-ins, fund-a-need)

Throughout the year we also run a number of smaller fundraisers, many of which require you to do little more than push a key on your computer. Shopping for your everyday needs with Meadow Heights in mind helps earn money for the school without costing you extra!
